The Masque Theatre presents Pickle Chiffon Pie, adapted by the Masque Writing Collaborative from the children?s book by Jolly Roger Bradfield. Pickle Chiffon Pie takes you to a land far, far away. Here the king who rules the land just wants to eat pickle chiffon pie. The problem is, his kind and beautiful daughter keeps inviting her many suitors to dinner and they eat all the pie. To put an end to this crummy problem, the king determines that the princess must marry one of the suitors. But how will the princess choose? With a test, of course! The princess? three favorite suitors are sent into the great forest at the end of the kingdom. They must return in three days with the most wonderful item they can find. The one who brings the most wonderful thing of all will marry the princess. What is the most wonderful thing? A juggling lion? A giant playing two pianos at once? How about a gazoo, a dimdoozle or a schnozel? Sit down to a serving of Pickle Chiffon Pie to find out.
