Chuck Blattner leads this community ensemble in Rochester’s annual holiday celebration featuring Diane Toogood directing the Rochester Area Girls Choir and guest vocalist, RCTC voice instructor,Carla Hanson. Selections to include, "O Holy Night", "Toboggan Ride" and "March of the Toys" from Babes In Toyland.

Soprano Carla Thelen Hanson is garnering attention for prolific performances in leading roles with companies nationwide. Of a recent Tosca performance last season with New York City Opera, The New York Times says, "Ms. Hanson made a strong debut as Tosca, by turns fiery and vulnerable, her voice agreeably dark in its middle range and sufficiently full on top" and the New Yorker exclaims "her dark-grained, strongly felt "Vissi d’arte" sailed right up to the uppermost balcony." Other noted roles in her repertoire include the title portrayals as Norma, Manon Lescaut, Madama Butterfly, Tosca, and Aida, as well as Donna Elvira and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro, Liu in Turandot, Leonora in Il Trovatore, Amelia in Un Ballo in Maschera, Rosina in Ghosts of Versaille, Senta in Der fliegende Hollander, and Woglinde in Der Ring des Niebelungen.
