What?s ten feet nine inches tall, can rope a buffalo and packs more fun into an hour than a day at FAO Schwarz? Give up? It?s Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer. These two remarkable entertainers have managed to blend elements of music and comedy, instrument making, history lessons, creative conflict resolution and trick roping into one of the most contagiously high-spirited children?s and family shows around. Their live performances have set the standard for family participation and fun while their recordings have inspired kids, parents, grandparents, teachers and friends to sing together and enjoy the magic of music.



Cathy & Marcy are an eclectic folk festival on their own terms, celebrating 20+ years of music together. Two Grammy? Awards, eleven Grammy? nominations in the Folk and Children?s music fields, and nearly 40 WAMMY Awards (Washington Area Music Association) for folk, bluegrass and children?s music make them top artists on a variety of circuits.



They have sung at the White House Easter Egg Roll, appeared on the ?Weekend Today Show? and on National Public Radio, been keynote singers for the AFL-CIO, entertained the Queen of Thailand, and performed at hundreds of folk festivals. Critics have praised their tight harmonies and instrumental versatility.
